Job summary

Oceaneering in Dubai seeks an experienced Survey/Geomatics professional to lead offshore hydrographic tasks, calibrate sensors, and configure navigation spreads for project work. You will supervise field crews, ensure safety, and maintain data quality across surveys.

The role requires familiarity with DGPS systems (C-Nav, Hemisphere), Eiva and 4D Nav software, and multibeam operations, along with strong reporting and IT skills. Offshore experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Survey/Geomatics/Hydrography or offshore experience
• Offshore marine construction experience required
• Familiar with DGPS surveys and Eiva/4D Nav software
• Knowledge of environmental effects on survey data
• Experience with installation and configuration of survey software
• Understanding of data management requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams in offshore survey tasks and oversee safety practices
• Prepare and document JSA/Safety briefings and ensure compliance with procedures
• Train field personnel and ensure adherence to client and Oceaneering requirements
• Calibrate sensors, configure navigation spreads, and manage data logging
• Produce survey reports and verify data quality for project deliverables

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist fellow employees in performing their work in accordance with safe work procedures

• Conduct and document daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/ Safety pre-tower meetings

• Train and adhere to Oceaneering or client companys specific requirements

• Managing and carrying out specific job tasks as requested by Client Project Manager Survey Manager

• Comply with company safety rules and training conduct operations safely and report any unsafe condition or practices immediately to his/her supervisor

• Calibrate heading attitude and bathymetric sensors.

• Configure navigation software for use on the correct projection/geodetic datum

• Run an online survey/inspection spread

• Create and configure the online navigation to show vessel (s) ROVs etc and relevant map information appropriate for project tasks

• Fault find the system

• Configure logging of project data

• Preparation of survey reports

• Responsible for the care and safety of company equipment
