Job summary

ADNOC Group is seeking a experienced supervisor for Rigging and Heavy Lifting maintenance within its Abu Dhabi operations. You will supervise activities, review techniques, and coordinate with planning and multiple departments to ensure safe, compliant execution of rigging and lifting tasks.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in rigging and heavy lifting, with strong knowledge of crane signaling and CMMS usage.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years of job experience in Rigging and Heavy Lifting maintenance—oil/gas or petrochemical preferred.
• Skilled in rigging operations and signaling to crane operators.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and CMMS, good computer skills.

Job Purpose

Supervises the maintenance activities related to Rigging and Heavy Lifting. Monitors work execution and provides guidance to ensure safe practices in accordance with HSE requirements in the participating OPCO's. Contributes towards achieving efficient, timely and quality completion of the jobs with respect to HSE compliance in close interaction with participating OPCOs (ADNOC Refining, ADNOC Fertilizers and Borouge). Assists to prepare procedures / work methodology to perform jobs in a professional manner and to suit the intended purpose. Maintains and updates maintenance program to ensure functional reliability and fitness of equipment & machines all times.

Key Accountabilities

• Supervises the activities of assigned personnel for Rigging and Heavy Lift jobs. Performs supervisory

functions at the level established by RSI-CMS management for the position.

• Receives planned and adhoc job requests from CMS Business Support Team for activities related to

Manual and critical Rigging works.

• Reviews techniques for work, allocates assignments and provides technical guidance for the job.
• Inspects completed work for conformity to requirements as per the defined procedures.
• Organizes and coordinates with respective functions to execute all types of Rigging & Material handling

activities released by planning.

• Supervises all types of maintenance activities related to Heavy lifting works, Manual Rigging, Material

Handling, & High Elevated field lifting works.

• Monitors work execution and provides guidance to ensure conformity to statutory, company regulations

and international standards.

• Carries out review of Rigging Plans in coordination with Rigging Engineer in accordance with

international safety standards and guidelines.

• Participates in and conducts daily /weekly safety toolbox talks with team of contractors. Conversant with

ADNOC's Health, Safety Environment and Fire Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives Ensures compliance of check lists prepared & signed off for Lifting activities and equipment to be used on daily basis.

• Carries out regular inspections of work areas at site to ensure that safe working conditions are provided,

and usage of certified equipment & tools along with required PPEs are in accordance with operating instructions.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparation of the Department / Section budgets and assist in the implementation

the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in

order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International

standards.

• Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational

processes.

• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line

with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability

guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years of job experience in Rigging and Heavy Lifting maintenance services preferably within a plant in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry.
• Highly skilled in rigging jobs, good knowledge of rigging signs and should be good in communicating signals to the crane operator for safe completion of job.
• Business Communication, industry standards, practices and protocols
• Familiar various types of activities like Manual rigging arrangements, Lifting procedures, plan and Rigging techniques.
• Good knowledge of computer skills (MS Office tools, Auto CAD). CMMS knowledge, Report writing, presentation skills and Team Player.
