Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to oversee oil and gas cluster production, mentor teams, and ensure safe, efficient plant operation.

You will coordinate with US-based production teams, engineers, chemicals suppliers, and store divisions; supervise start-up/shutdowns, issue permits, and drive KPI/HSE targets.

Responsibilities

• Daily contacts with operations personnel up to US Oil & Gas Production Team Leaders to discuss production targets and procedures.
• Coordinate with Maintenance personnel up to Supervisor level for maintenance activities and progress.
• Discuss field wells availability and operation with Production (Field) Team up to Supervisor level.
• Engage with US asset engineers for engineering requirements and coordination of work.
• Discuss Chemicals requirements with Commercial division.
• Follow up material requisitions and chemicals supply with Store division.
• Work according to ADNOC procedures and HSE standards, adjusting plant conditions in emergencies.
• Direct and supervise assigned personnel involved in operating the oil and gas cluster production, including startups and shutdowns.
• Monitor and supervise production via Local Control Room to meet targets; prepare equipment for maintenance and minor repairs.
• Issue permits for routine maintenance, supervise plant commissioning, and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ensure availability of spares and chemical stocks; review inventories and issue requisitions.
• Act as On-Scene Commander in Emergency Response duties.
• Participate in training and development of UAE National Employees; assist in reports.
• Handle MAXIMO orders and maintain chemical stock at site.
• Contribute to achieving KPIs and HSE targets and environmental requirements.
• Work to deliver production targets and maintain facility integrity.

Job description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Daily contacts with work associates and operations personnel up to both US Oil & Gas Production Team Leaders level to discuss production plan targets, production plant operating activities and operating procedures.
• Daily contacts with Maintenance personnel within oil and gas operation team up to Supervisor level for implementation, co-ordination and progress of maintenance activities.
• Daily contacts with Production (Field) Team personnel up to Supervisor level to discuss field wells availability and operation.
• Occasional contacts with work associates in US asset up to Engineer level to discuss engineering requirements and co-ordinate work activities.
• Occasional contact with personnel in commercial division at equivalent level to discuss Chemicals requirements.
• Occasional contact with personnel in Store division at equivalent level to follow up material requisitions, and chemicals supply.
• Works according to specialized technical standards, and ADNOC established procedures and HSE standards, using own initiative, judgment in adjusting plant conditions – particularly in emergency situations.
• Supervision: Directs, control and supervises the activities of assigned personnel involved in operating the oil and gas cluster production, including starting up / shutting down the gas and oil treatment units and gas production wells, first line maintenance, housekeeping…etc.
• Operation Activities: (i) Monitors and supervises through the Local Control Room facilities the operation of crude and gas production/treatment and to meet the Company’s targets in terms of quality and quantity. (ii) Supervise the preparations oil & gas clusters equipment for routine, break down and planned maintenance activities as per established procedures. (iii) Trouble-shoots minor operation problems and reports major problems and emergencies to US Production (Oil) Team Leader and Production (Gas) Team Leader with proposed solutions. (iv) Evaluate daily pertaining equipment performance, prepares production reports and recommends to Team Leader for improvement.
• Work Control: (i) Supervise and personally participate in preparing the plant /equipment for maintenance work. (ii) Issues hot, cold and entry work permits and isolation Confirmation Certificates for all routine planned and break down maintenance work. (iii) Supervise and personally participate in re-commissioning of the plant to ensure safe and efficient. (iv) Monitor and evaluates the reliability of plant equipment and plant performance. (v) Ensure availability of spares and chemicals stocks including review of chemicals and material inventories, maintaining adequate stock and issuing material requisitions.
• Act in Emergency Response duties as On-Scene Commander of his respective area.
• Other Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by Team Leader such as: (i) Taking part in training / developing new recruits / UAE National Employees / Developees, implementing orientation programs and preparing necessary reports. (ii) Assume the duties of WIP, CSP-1, IGD-HAP, CCR and Field supervisors as assigned.
• Orders process chemicals, initiate work request etc. through use of MAXIMO and maintain required stock of chemicals all time at site.
• Actively and systematically contributes in achieving Objectives & KPIs.
• Actively and systematically contributes in achieving HSE targets and environmental requirements.
• Gas and Oil production VS target.
• Maintain Facilities Integrity against target.
• Implement action Plan to clear overdue items.
• Maintain / Enhance Oil & Gas systems to deliver production targets.
• Train and develop UAE and team member’s skills to achieve competency progression objectives, enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
