Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking an experienced Supervisor Commissioning (Mechanical Systems) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. You will lead mechanical commissioning across Wellhead Towers, subsea and piping, ensuring safe startup and smooth handover to Operations.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical commissioning, with offshore exposure and preferably an EPC/PMC background. Strong leadership, HSE focus and readiness to work in challenging offshore environments are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical commissioning, with at least 5 years offshore.
• Strong hands-on experience in offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers, jackets and topsides.
• PMC/EPC background is preferred, ADNOC Offshore experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to supervise field teams, coordinate start-up activities and ensure safety.
• Knowledge of commissioning procedures, risk management and handover to operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate offshore mechanical commissioning activities across WHTs, platforms, subsea pipelines and brownfield projects.
• Ensure safe execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, startups and handover per procedures and HSE requirements.
• Act as field focal point for rotating/static equipment and mechanical packages, ensuring readiness for startup and safe handover.
• Oversee day-to-day commissioning work at fabrication yards and offshore installations.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and report status, risks and technical issues to engineers/leads.
• Support shutdowns, tie-ins, equipment replacement and facility modifications as needed.

Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Supervisor Commissioning (Mechanical Systems) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university.

Responsibilities

• supervise and coordinate Mechanical Systems commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea pipeline and cable developments, and brownfield modification projects.
• responsible for the safe execution of mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning, equipment startup, performance testing, and handover activities in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, HSE requirements, and operational objectives
• serves as the field execution focal point for rotating equipment, static equipment, utility systems, and mechanical packages, ensuring readiness for startup and safe handover to Operations.
• Supervise day-to-day mechanical commissioning activities at fabrication yards, offshore installations, and brownfield facilities.
• Ensure commissioning activities are performed in accordance with approved commissioning procedures and schedules.
• Monitor commissioning progress and workforce productivity.
• Report commissioning status, risks, and technical issues to the Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Lead.
• Execute commissioning activities for offshore Wellhead Towers and associated facilities.
• Verify mechanical interfaces between WHTs and central processing facilities.
• Support commissioning of mechanical systems associated with subsea pipeline developments.
• Supervise pigging facilities commissioning.
• Execute commissioning activities during shutdown and tie-in campaigns.
• Support equipment replacement and facility modification projects.
• Promote mechanical integrity and safe startup practices.
• Stop unsafe work whenever required.
• Participate in client witnessing and acceptance testing.
• Escalate technical issues to Commissioning Engineers or Leads when necessary.

Experience Required

• Minimum 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
• Proven dedicated experience in mechanical commissioning and startup experience.
• Experience in commissioning Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
