Job summary

Penspen is urgently looking to hire a Sr. Commissioning Engineer (Process & Utility) – Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, in Abu Dhabi for an offshore PMC project.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 15+ years of relevant experience, including offshore platforms, WHTs, jackets and topsides. Responsibilities include leading commissioning activities, developing CEPs and startup procedures, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and delivering thorough handover

Responsibilities

• Execute Process and Utility commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including WHTs, offshore platforms, subsea pipeline and cable developments.
• Ensure process and utility systems are safely pre-commissioned, commissioned, started up, tested, and handed over to Operations in line with project specs and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the technical focal point for commissioning and startup activities to ensure operational readiness and safe hydrocarbon introduction.
• Develop CEPs, startup procedures, and commissioning schedules.
• Coordinate commissioning requirements with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Prepare commissioning dossiers and handover documentation.
• Coordinate OEMs and package equipment vendors during commissioning and startup.
• Support FATs and SATs.

Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Sr. Commissioning Engineer (Process & Utility) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have Bachelor's Degree in related engineering discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Execute Process and Utility commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea pipeline and cable developments, and brownfield modifications
• Responsible for ensuring that process systems, utility systems, package equipment, and associated facilities are safely pre-commissioned, commissioned, started up, performance-tested, and handed over to Operations in compliance with project specifications, company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives
• Acts as the technical focal point for commissioning and startup activities, ensuring operational readiness and safe hydrocarbon introduction
• Develop Process & Utility Commissioning Execution Plans (CEP), startup procedures, and commissioning schedules.
• Participate in systemization and subsystem definition activities.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, operating philosophies, cause-and-effect charts, and startup procedures.
• Define commissioning boundaries, handover sequences, and operational readiness requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning requirements with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Commission Wellhead Tower process and utility systems.
• Validate production and utility interfaces between WHTs and central processing facilities
• Support commissioning of subsea pipeline systems.
• Verify subsea control and process interfaces.
• Develop and execute commissioning strategies for brownfield projects.
• Coordinate shutdown and tie-in activities.
• Manage SIMOPS-related commissioning risks
• Prepare commissioning dossiers and handover documentation.
• Coordinate OEMs and package equipment vendors during commissioning and startup.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

Experience Required

• Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
• Proven dedicated experience in commissioning and startup experience.
• Experience in commissioning Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
