We are looking for a Sales Manager Industry to join our FEWIBU team in the United Arab Emirates.

Purpose of the job: Responsible for technical and commercial sales in the ME market, developing relationships with new and existing customers, and selling applications and products related to Fertilizers, Pulp and Paper, IWT, Chemical Process Industry, F&B, Metal and Mining, such as all applicable rotating equipment. Represent the company towards customers and achieve sales targets.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Maintain consistent personal and professional contact with key customers, ensuring excellent sales performance and high customer satisfaction.
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities and develop relationships with key customers in the Middle East (excluding KSA) and Pakistan.
  • Visit customers, undertake project discussions, and present Sulzer Industry portfolio.
  • Understand and document market activities such as shutdown calendars, recent field developments, and recent awards.
  • Gain additional pre-qualifications with customers.
  • Evaluate technical customer inquiries and advise the Manager on whether to quote or decline.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • Provide feedback for accurate calculation of project costs and sales pricing; evaluate price strategies to achieve orders.
  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations with support from the tendering team.
  • Handle technical and commercial clarifications for proposals.
  • Negotiate projects and support order closing.
  • Collaborate with global Sulzer Industry offices and agents in Middle East countries.
  • Prepare handover documents to Project Management for received orders and support project delivery according to contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep the enquiry/order database (SalesForce and other relevant software) updated.

Qualifications and skills needed:

  • B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience living and working in the Middle East, with over 10 years of relevant sales experience in similar products (Fertilizers, Pulp and Paper, IWT, Chemical Process Industry, F&B, Metal and Mining).
  • Experience in sales and proposal departments, handling multiple projects and enquiries.
  • Knowledge of Sulzer products is an advantage. Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Strong knowledge of Sulzer products, applications, and market segments.
  • Industry expertise.
  • Technical and commercial proficiency.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Relationship-building skills with a customer-centric mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and manage workload independently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling work pressure at times.
