Back Office Engineer-Full Time-DubaiUnited Arab Emirates

We are looking for a/anBack Office Engineer to join our FEWIBU team in United Arab Emirates.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist distributors and direct customers in preparing quotation for complex products and applications and negotiating tier 1 project orders coordinating with the sales support team in Europe;
  • Technical and commercial preparation of tenders and offers in close cooperation with outdoor sales engineer authorized dealers and customers mainly in the GULF-region;
  • Evaluation of customer pump application requirements to ensure that the company is able to satisfy customer needs in terms of both product and pricing;
  • Working closely with designers for complex Municipal project in order to support their work and specify Sulzer products wherever possible;
  • Manage technical and commercial negotiation with customers maximizing the orders vs quote conversion respecting the given D.O.A. (delegation of authority) in collaboration with other support functions;
  • Maintain a proper reporting with the direct superior and the company function and utilize diligently and constantly the tools provided by the company (Quotation Tool CRM SAP and so on) following WIBUs and companys guidelines;
  • Clarification of demanding technical questions;
  • Regular customer contact mainly by phone or e-mail;
  • Handling and processing of projects and orders in SAP from elaboration of the quote including deadline tracking coordination and monitoring of the complete process and finally invoicing;
  • Regular contact with the Sulzer Water & Industry BU factories;
  • Strong knowledge and follow through of compliance regulations and end user specifications.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Education: Level: Civil Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
  • Min. 5 years of experience as a sales support application engineer or tendering engineer in multinational companies. Mainly inwastewater and water treatment equipment manufacturers.Knowledge in Chemical Food Fertilizers PPI is an additional advantage.
  • Wastewater Water Treatment experience.
  • Arabic speaker (preferable).
  • Strong commercial and time management skills strong result orientation and ambition excellent relational skills and negotiating skills good knowledge of the main computer tools ability to work in a team also remotely.
