Job summary

El Sewedy Power UAE Business Group is seeking an Electrical Manager with extensive experience in testing and commissioning of HV/MV substations and related GIS/AIS equipment. The role demands leadership of commissioning engineers and coordination with clients, consultants, and vendors.

The candidate will develop plans, review specs, supervise FAT/SAT, ensure QA/QC compliance, and maintain complete documentation. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in electrical projects.
• At least 5 years in testing & commissioning of substations (HV/MV).
• Experience in GIS/AIS substations up to 132kV / 220kV / 400kV is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment and systems.
• Expertise in protection relays and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with SCADA and communication protocols.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed testing & commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and vendor documents.
• Manage and supervise testing & commissioning activities for substation equipment.
• Witness and approve FAT and SAT results.
• Lead testing of protection schemes and troubleshoot protection relays.
• Coordinate with vendors for testing and system integration.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and review test reports.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team.
