Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Mechanical Site Engineer for substations to supervise mechanical works on site, ensure compliance with design specs, safety standards and project timelines. You will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, firefighting and oil systems.

You will coordinate with electrical, civil teams, vendors and contractors, maintain daily reports, MIR/WIR, and ensure quality workmanship while solving on‑site issues and enforcing HSE practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in site execution of mechanical works in substation or power projects.
• Experience with high‑voltage substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in substations (HVAC, firefighting, oil systems).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical activities at the substation site.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and specialists during equipment installation and startup.
• Maintain records and prepare inspection/commissioning reports.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and other discipline teams for approvals.
