Job summary

Revolut Ltd in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for local payments to join our Customer Support team. You will establish the market’s local payments infrastructure, build relationships with payment systems, and ensure compliant, secure operations.

You will monitor performance, manage end-to-end payment operations, coordinate with IT and other teams, and stay current with regulatory changes to continuously improve expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in local payment schemes.
• Certifications/trainings for operations in local payment systems.
• In-depth knowledge of local payments legislation.
• Fluency in English.
• Exceptional communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishing the local payments infrastructure in the market.
• Building and maintaining genuine relationships with local payment systems, serving as Revolut’s main point of contact.
• Ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Managing end-to-end payment operations, including processing, reconciliation, settlement, and issue resolution with local payment systems.
• Coordinating with internal IT and other departments to resolve technical issues, support compliance needs, and ensure smooth communication across stakeholders.
• Monitoring payments performance, reporting key metrics, and identifying risks, such as fraud or operational disruptions, along with recommending controls.
• Staying engaged with industry forums and up-to-date with regulatory changes, market trends, and innovations to continuously improve expertise.

We’re looking for a Subject Matter Expert with solid experience in local payments. You'll ensure efficient and secure operations, maintain compliance, and manage relationships with key payment systems throughout the country. You'll need to know how to manage risks and make independent decisions.
