Job summary

EPIC Piping in Abu Dhabi is seeking a pipe support detailer to review fabrication drawings and ensure alignment with project specifications and industry codes. The role involves quality checking drawings, coordinating with engineers, and approving releases with thorough documentation.

The candidate should have a engineering technology degree and 3–4 years' experience in structural or pipe support detailing, ideally in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in structural or pipe support detailing and checking.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify pipe support fabrication drawings for alignment with project specs, codes and client requirements.
• Conduct quality checks of detailed fabrication drawings including dimensional accuracy, material specifications and weld details.
• Ensure compliance with relevant project-specific standards and guidelines.
• Coordinate with pipe support detailers, piping designers and engineers to resolve discrepancies and ensure clarity in final drawings.
• Approve drawings for release to fabrication and construction with strict documentation and revision control.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improving drawing accuracy, clarity and QA processes.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar tools is a plus.
