Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Structural Designer for onshore oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on FEED, Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design with a strong emphasis on delivering construction-ready documentation.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years in structural design, proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D and PDMS, and familiarity with international codes. ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design for onshore oil and gas projects.
• Experience in FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and modeling tools (AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, PDMS).
• ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop structural design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, fabrication drawings and material take-offs.
• Work closely with structural engineers to translate conceptual and design intent into detailed construction-ready documentation.
• Ensure design compliance with international codes, client specifications and project requirements.
• Participate in model reviews, clash checks and interface coordination meetings.
• Support inter-discipline coordination and resolve design issues during design development.
• Incorporate design changes and prepare revision documentation as needed.
• Ensure quality and consistency of deliverables within project schedules and budget.

Previous experience working on ADNOC projects will be considered a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with international structural design codes (e.g. AISC BS Eurocode).
• ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
