Job summary

Dutco Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Structural Coordinator to lead design coordination across roads, marine, and infrastructure projects. You will review drawings, manage interfaces, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver compliant designs on schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in structural engineering or design coordination, familiarity with bridges, jetties, quay walls, and BIM/CAD tools, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in structural engineering or design coordination.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design packages.
• Familiarity with bridges, retaining walls, foundations, jetties, quay walls.
• Knowledge of relevant structural codes, design standards, and project specs.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficiency with engineering tools; BIM coordination platforms is an advantage.
• Professional engineering registration or chartership is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate structural design activities across roads, marine, and infrastructure projects.
• Manage interfaces between structural, civil, geotechnical, marine, utilities, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and design deliverables for coordination and compliance.
• Track design progress, deliverables, approvals, and technical queries against project schedules.
• Facilitate design reviews and coordination meetings, documenting decisions and actions.
• Identify design risks, clashes, and constructability concerns and coordinate resolution.
• Support development and review of design briefs, scopes of work, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities as required.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specs.
• Support site teams by responding to technical queries and coordinating design changes.
• Maintain records of design comments, revisions, approvals, and interface decisions.
• Contribute to QA, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM tools; interface with project teams on design coordination.
