Dicetek LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a platform architect to design, build, and maintain scalable video streaming infrastructure, ensuring high availability and low latency for a global audience.

The candidate will manage real-time video processing pipelines (encoding, transcoding), implement CDNs and edge caching, and automate deployments with IaC and CI/CD practices, with emphasis on Confluent Kafka, Ansible, Bash, and Python.

Formación

• 4–5 years in the relevant field.
• 3–4 years hands-on experience managing the Confluent platform.
• Experience with Flink installation preferred; approx. 1 year exposure acceptable.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable streaming infra with high availability and low latency for global audiences.
• Develop and optimize real-time video processing pipelines (encoding, transcoding, packaging) for various devices and networks.
• Implement and manage CDNs and edge caching for seamless playback worldwide.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling with IaC and CI/CD best practices.

Descripción del empleo

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient video streaming infrastructure, ensuring high availability and low latency for global audiences.
• Develop and optimize real-time video processing pipelines, including encoding, transcoding, and packaging for various devices and network conditions.
• Implement and manage content delivery networks (CDNs) and edge caching strategies to deliver seamless playback experiences worldwide.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of streaming services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate should have 4 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field.At least 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing the Confluent platform is expected.Experience with Flink installation is preferred, with approximately 1 year of exposure considered sufficient.

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience with Confluent Kafka Platform administration.

Experience in:

• Platform installation
• Platform upgrades
• Production support and troubleshooting
• Managing platform components
• Understanding of Kafka ecosystem components and platform operations
• Good knowledge of Ansible
• Familiarity with Bash and Python as part of platform administration activities
• Ability to understand and support connectors, central pipelines, and related platform functionality

Nice-to-Have Skills

Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments.Additional cloud platform knowledge is considered advantageous but is not mandatory
