LOCATION

The role will be primarily office based with flexibility for remote working. Travel to Iraq on a visiting basis may be required.

THE ROLE

We are currently looking to hire a strategy specialist with 20 plus years experience to work on a major transformation and restructuring programme in the FMCG sector.

The successful candidate will be collaborating with team members to review current strategies and business models of companies under review conduct benchmarking of similar organisations conduct regional and international market research perform analysis of competitors define new strategy determine new objectives and identify new opportunities for successful turnaround and growth of the companies under review to deliver the strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analysis of current strategy and business model including sales targets current market and current positioning with current financial prospectus
  • Conduct benchmarking exercise of similar companies within the region and internationally to understand current trends and opportunities and assess current gaps for transformation
  • Work with the market research team to analyse all available market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities to support strategy development
  • Work with the production consultants to understand future product lines and productivity value.
  • Work with the leadership to conceptualise and draft a strategy for the pilot and potential blueprint for other factories under review
  • Work with the finance specialist on restructuring and merger possibilities

Keep updated with technologies and consumer behaviors.Post pilot create an overarching strategic plan for the state companies covering all current and potential future factories.Contribute to business development and digital innovation.

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelors degree in business administration or related field minimun.
  • Masters degree in business administration or strategy preferable
  • Minimum 15 years of postqualified relevant work experience
  • Experience in development of strategy in businesswide transformation programmes.
  • Experience in business development or research.
  • Sector experience in manufacturing and FMCG preferable
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the Middle East
  • Excellent MS Word and PowerPoint skills
