Job description

The Analyst will be a member of Visas CEMEA Corporate Strategy team. The team shapes Visas long-term strategy and solves enterprise-level questions and challenges by partnering with executives and business leaders across Visas organization. Recent initiatives have addressed such topics as go-to-market strategy, product strategy and partnership/acquisition opportunities many of which have been internationally focused. The team is also responsible for developing competitive intelligence and thought leadership on emerging trends in payments and technology.

The position will be based at Visas CEMEA headquarters in Dubai – preferred market experience from SSA Region.

Responsibilities
  • Independently lead and design part of a strategy that enables strong sustainable competitive advantage for Visa and generates tangible impact on Visas performance.
  • Break down complex business problems, define a structured approach, formulate hypothesis and support workstreams.
  • Drive deep quantitative and qualitative analytical insight, bring a fresh and differentiated perspective and support proposed recommendations.
  • Drive thought leadership with creative, novel, disruptive but highly practical and implementable solutions to the challenges faced by business owners.
  • Ensure strategies and execution programs developed drive tangible commercial impact, secure active stakeholder buy-in and provide a clear actionable path to implementation.
  • Develop frameworks that support the prioritization of strategic initiatives and evaluate investment opportunities for their strategic and financial value.
  • Develop clear, simple and impactful executive-level communications with a strong ability to persuade and influence senior decision makers.
  • Demonstrate outstanding people skills including supporting colleagues and acting as a magnet for future top talent to the strategy team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2 or more years of work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working and living in the Sub Saharan Africa region is a must.
