Job summary

TradesApp is seeking a Financial Manager to lead the financial health and strategic direction of a shipping and logistics business. You will supervise budgeting, treasury, and cost control across vessels and related operations, ensuring IFRS/GAAP compliance and reliable reporting for executives and the board.

The role requires 7–10 years in finance with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity, in a maritime context preferred, and professional accounting certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in financial management with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Maritime or shipping industry experience preferred.
• CPA/ACCA/CMA/CFA or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency IFRS/GAAP and multi-currency accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and analysis across fleet and shore operations.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance (IFRS/GAAP, multi-entity, multi-currency).
• Manage treasury, cash flow, banking relationships, and trade finance facilities.
• Drive cost control, voyage/vessel accounting, and risk management.
• Provide financial insights to CFO/MD and board for decision-making.
• Lead systems and process improvements in maritime finance.
