Job summary

Al Tayer Group Career site is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project QS in the UAE to support cost control on assigned projects. You will prepare Bill of Quantities, track variations, handle subcontractor payments and ensure timely final accounts.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant post-contract QS experience, preferably in joinery or interior fit-out, with local market knowledge advantageous. On-site work with project teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• 2 to 5 years relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years post-contract QS experience in joinery/interior fit-out.
• Local market knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Detect variations and changes to the contract and prepare, negotiate and follow up on variations and claims.
• Identify subcontract elements in tenders and obtain quotations; vet and compare to finalize subcontractors.
• Prepare monthly valuation reports to monitor progress and costs.
• Secure project interests with bonds, warranties, insurances, and undertakings.
• Check subcontractor quantities, re-measure work, and support final accounts.
• Prepare subcontractor payment certificates and arrange payments according to contract terms.
• Prepare interim and final accounts and obtain client payment certificates.
