Job summary
A manufacturing company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling professional to develop production schedules and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, tracking inventory, and maintaining production data in ERP systems. This is a full-time position within a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry preferably packaging, volume manufacturing.
- Experience in a production planning, scheduling or similar production / supply chain capacity.
Responsibilities
- Develop daily and weekly production schedules in coordination with Sales and Production teams.
- Monitor job orders, prioritize them based on delivery commitments and available resources.
- Maintain and update the Master Production Schedule (MPS) with accuracy.
- Prepare and release all necessary documentations such as process flow sheets, etc.
- Act as a bridge between Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.
- Track inventory levels and suggest replenishments to meet production demand.
- Maintain production-related data in Oracle ERP.
- Assist in scheduling machine usage to optimize capacity.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements.
Skills
Understanding of manufacturing processes and machine capacities
Knowledge of ERP systems
Data Analysis & Reporting
Proficient in Microsoft applications esp. Word and Excel
Knowledge of Quality systems and procedures
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Education
Bachelors’ Degree or Diploma in engineering preferably Mechanical/Electrical
