Job summary

44.01 is seeking a Head of Government & External Affairs to represent the company in the UAE and Oman. The role requires fluency in Arabic and English, and frequent travel between the two markets.

Based in Dubai with flexibility for Muscat-based candidates, you will build trusted government relationships and navigate regulatory landscapes to support growth. You will coordinate with the Leadership Team, manage stakeholder signals, and help surface opportunities and risks early while maintaining

Qualifications

• You are skilled at navigating governments, ministries, and government-owned entities, with a practical understanding of how decisions get made.
• You are credible with local institutions, able to build trust quickly and operate effectively in relationship driven environments.
• You are fluent in local business culture and government protocols, with a strong grasp of regulatory processes and expectations.
• You are an effective communicator, able to engage senior external stakeholders and internal teams in both English and Arabic.
• You bring sector-relevant context, with experience in energy, industrial, climate tech or infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in the UAE and Oman with credibility and influence.
• Build and maintain high-trust relationships with government entities, regulators, partners and communities.
• Travel regularly between the UAE and Oman to stay physically present in each market.
• Coordinate with Leadership Team during visits, providing context, briefings, and aligned engagement.
• Support the Executive Team by sharing risks, opportunities and stakeholder signals.
