Job summary
A leading consultancy firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Procurement & Contracts Manager to oversee procurement and subcontract management for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience in the UAE, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and optimizing costs. Strong negotiation and contract management skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of UAE contracting practices. This role involves collaboration across teams and leadership of procurement engineers, offering a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in procurement and subcontract management within construction or industrial projects.
Strong experience in UAE contracting environment and subcontractor management.
Hands-on experience in tendering, contract negotiation, and procurement lifecycle.
Familiarity with FIDIC, EPC, and Design-Build contracts.
Experience with long-lead equipment procurement and commissioning coordination is an advantage.
Fluent in English.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement and subcontracting strategies aligned with project timelines.
Identify, evaluate, and prequalify subcontractors and suppliers in the UAE market.
Manage end-to-end tendering processes including RFQs, ITTs, and bid submissions.
Draft, review, and finalize subcontract agreements in line with main contract requirements.
Track variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, logistics, and commissioning teams.
Lead and manage procurement engineers and contracts specialists.
