Job summary

Elliott Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a detail-oriented Buyer to manage end-to-end purchasing for mechanical, electrical, and fabricated parts supporting engineering and manufacturing projects. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, planning and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or tactical buying in heavy machinery/manufacturing/oil & gas.
• Ability to read BOMs, drawings and technical specs.
• Hands-on ERP and MS Office proficiency.
• Strong negotiation, organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage POs for mechanical, electrical and fabricated components per BOMs.
• Monitor PO confirmations, supplier delivery schedules, and update ERP data.
• Clarify specs, expedite deliveries, and resolve invoicing/shipping discrepancies with suppliers.
• Follow up on open POs to support production schedules.
• Align procurement timelines with project milestones and escalate material risks when needed.
• Participate in BOM reviews for part numbers, lead times, and pricing in ERP systems.
• Support sourcing for non-standard components during low-complexity changes.
• Collaborate with Production Planners, Engineers, Quality Assurance and Receiving.
