Job summary

GMG Gulf Marketing Group in Dubai is seeking a store manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service. You will manage visual merchandising, optimize inventory, and coach a team to achieve financial targets.

Responsibilities include planning staffing, overseeing cash handling, and maintaining loss prevention standards while collaborating with Area Managers and cross-functional teams to grow profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a similar supervisory role in retail operations.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken; Russian and/or Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Industry expertise and product/category knowledge.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and tools.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and align teams to business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate store targets to the team and drive sales to achieve financial objectives.
  • Maintain loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with cash handling, fraud and theft controls.
  • Oversee all point-of-sale activity: transactions, customer orders and payments, returns and refunds, inventory updates and customer feedback.
  • Manage cash transactions, including petty cash, POS cash and change floats.
  • Audit store administration regularly, resolve issues, and support annual stock counts and spot checks.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally, taking corrective action in line with policy.
  • Track brand sales performance, research market trends and competitor activity, and propose action plans to grow sales and profitability.
  • Analyze sales reports to maximize stock potential and report on new and core collection performance.
  • Maintain window and in-store displays to a high standard in line with merchandising guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory management: stock availability, ordering, back-store management, stock movement, stock ageing, stock loss and space management.
  • Coordinate with the facilities team on repairs and replacements and support maintenance standards to extend asset life.
  • Plan staffing levels, schedules and shift coverage, factoring in seasonal peaks and promotional events.
  • Train the team in inventory techniques, including receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers and resolving discrepancies.

About the role:

The role holder is responsible for managing and driving sales for the store through efficient store operations, visual merchandising, customer service delivery, motivation and retention of store personnel in adherence to GMG norms. The job holder is also responsible for managing and coaching the store team.
