Qualifications

Role Description

The Stitching Tailor role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Dubai. The Stitching Tailor will be responsible for stitching and finishing haute couture and bespoke garments according to design specifications, patterns, and fitting requirements. Daily tasks include handling delicate and premium fabrics, operating industrial and specialized sewing machines, executing intricate hand‑stitching, and ensuring precise seams, hems, and embellishments. The role involves collaborating with pattern makers, cutters, designers, and embroiderers, participating in fittings, and making adjustments to achieve the desired silhouette and fit. The Stitching Tailor is expected to follow quality standards, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and meet production timelines while upholding the brand’s luxury standards.

Qualifications

• Strong garment stitching skills, including hand‑stitching, machine stitching, hemming, and finishing for haute couture and bespoke garments.
• Experience working with luxury and delicate fabrics (such as silk, chiffon, lace, tulle) and ability to handle complex evening wear constructions.
• Ability to read and follow patterns, technical sketches, and design instructions, with skill in garment fitting, alterations, and adjustments.
• Attention to detail in seams, lining, closures, and embellishments, with a focus on precision, symmetry, and high‑quality craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with using industrial sewing machines and related tools, and maintaining equipment in good working condition.
• Previous experience as a tailor or stitcher in luxury fashion, couture, or bespoke garment production is highly beneficial.
• Reliable time management, ability to work on‑site in Dubai, and willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary fashion production team.
• Basic communication skills in English (and/or other relevant languages) to follow instructions and coordinate with colleagues.
