Job summary

A leading construction firm in the UAE is seeking a Machine Operator for their rebar mill manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, preferably in the GCC, and a technical certificate. You will be responsible for operating rolling mill machines, ensuring their functionality, and adhering to safety regulations. This role requires agility, quality assurance, and adherence to maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year working experience, GCC experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with computer usage for tracking roll usage and maintenance.

Job Summary

Operations of all machines related to rebar mill manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely in the rebar finishing area for smooth and efficient operation.
• Ensure the functionality of each machine before starting the operation.
• Perform tasks assigned by the immediate supervisors.
• Report any machine abnormalities such as sound, current, tension, etc. to his superior or concerned department.
• Perform clearing activities such as short bar removal, shear cut ends removal, and cutting of "flying" rebars.
• Operate rolling mill machines to achieve the required specifications for a good rebar finished product.
• Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
• Report any issues with rolls or roll-related equipment to the production supervisors.
• Assist in scheduling roll changes and maintenance activities to align with production needs.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with computer usage for tracking roll usage and maintenance is a plus.

Job Experience

Minimum 1 year working experience/relevant experience, GCC experience is a plus.
