Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans and specifications to determine layout and placement of steel bars and rods.
• Measure and cut steel bars and rods to required lengths using power saws or manual tools.
• Bend and shape steel bars and rods using hand tools or machines.
• Secure steel bars and rods in concrete forms using wire clips or other fasteners.
• Position and secure steel bars and mesh in concrete footings and walls.
• Install prefabricated steel bars and mesh in concrete structures.
• Use levels, plumb bobs and laser equipment to ensure accurate placement of steel bars.
• Weld or bolt steel bars and rods together to form structures or reinforce existing structures.
• Inspect and repair damaged steel structures.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our team.

Job Summary: As a Steel Fixer you will be responsible for constructing and repairing steel structures such as bridges buildings and other large-scale projects. You will work closely with the construction team to ensure that all steel structures are built according to the project plans and specifications.
