Job summary

API Energy Middle East in Dubai seeks a highly skilled Static Thermal Design Engineer to drive design analysis, detailing, and costing for pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, TES, silos, and skid-mounted packages.

You will use PV Elite, HTRI, ASPEN, AutoCAD, and 3D tools to perform calculations, generate drawings, BOMs, and coordinate with fabrication and procurement teams. This role requires independent execution, strong QA/QC, and excellent cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical/thermal design for pressure vessels and related equipment.
• Proficient in performing design calculations and preparing fabrication drawings.
• Familiar with ASME VIII Div 1/2, API 650/620, and relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and thermal design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, TES, silos, and skid packages.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, datasheets, GA and fabrication drawings.
• Develop BOM/MTO, plus cost estimates and procurement coordination.
• Coordinate with fabrication, procurement, and project teams for manufacturability.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Ability to manage projects independently.Experience in manufacturing/fabrication environment preferred.Knowledge of international design codes and client specifications.Experience in skid package engineering and TES systems is highly desirable.
