Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi invites Nursing professionals with at least two years of post-graduate experience in Transplant/Cardiac/Neuro OR to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum three-year nursing curriculum from an accredited program.
  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience in General Surgery/OR.
  • Valid and current national license.
  • BLS from AHA or equivalent, within 3 months.
  • ACLS/PALS relevant to area, within 6 months.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans, and updates plan of care based on individual patient needs.
  • Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care.
  • Monitors and documents patients' condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
  • Assesses the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns.
  • Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant others as appropriate.
  • Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
  • Administers prescribed medications by approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning.
  • Carries out prescribed treatments by approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures.
  • Use the knowledge of one's role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the healthcare needs of the patients and populations served.
  • Demonstrates commitment to providing evidence-based practice care by adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidence.
  • Delegates appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication.
  • Respects Patient Rights and demonstrate behaviors of a Patient's First Philosophy.
  • Incorporates the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice.
  • Reports errors and near-misses.
  • Responsible for completing charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is inviting Nursing professionals with recent two years of experience in Transplant/Cardiac/Neuro OR to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages in assigned nursing units. This position is also responsible for demonstrating competency in the behavioral, growth, development, and psychosocial needs of patients being treated.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans, and updates plan of care based on individual patient needs
  • Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care
  • Monitors and documents patients' condition and effectiveness of care and interventions
  • Assesses the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns
  • Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant as appropriate
  • Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching
  • Administers prescribed medications by approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
  • Carries out prescribed treatments by approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures
  • Use the knowledge of one's role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the healthcare needs of the patients and populations served

  • adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations in which assigned,
  • reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence,

  • Incorporates the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice
  • Reports errors and near-misses
  • Responsible for completing charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD. When charges are not captured automatically the nurse will complete within Epic in real time, Perioperative Services within 24 business hours
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
  • A minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in a General Surgery /operating room setting is required
  • Valid and current national license is required
  • BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization or must be obtained within 3 months of employment
  • ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred
