Job summary

Black Pearl Consult in Dubai is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED setting and support a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 2+ years in ED, a valid nursing license (DHA eligibility preferred), and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and holidays. Excellent clinical judgment and communication are essential for patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid nursing license; DHA eligibility in Dubai or UAE.
• Strong knowledge of emergency nursing procedures, triage, resuscitation, and trauma care.
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, or other emergencies.
• Triage patients based on severity and urgency of condition.
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status and pain; escalate deterioration promptly.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products as prescribed and per protocol.
• Assist physicians and multidisciplinary team during emergency procedures and resuscitation.
• Operate emergency equipment (monitors, defibrillators, ventilators) and ensure functionality.
• Participate in CPR, ALS and other emergency response activities.
• Perform wound care, catheterization, specimen collection, and other procedures as scoped.
• Establish IV access and manage IV therapies; ensure infection control.
• Provide pain management and patient education for treatments and follow-up.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. The Emergency Department Nurse will provide safe, timely, and patient-centered nursing care to individuals presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The ideal candidate should have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with medical, surgical, traumatic, and other emergency conditions.
• Rapidly assess and triage patients based on the severity and urgency of their condition.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, pain levels, and overall clinical condition, promptly identifying and escalating any deterioration.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed and in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist physicians and the multidisciplinary team during emergency procedures, resuscitation, trauma management, and other critical interventions.
• Prepare and operate emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other life-support equipment.
• Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced life support, and other emergency response activities as required.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection, catheterization, and other emergency nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
• Establish and maintain IV access and monitor patients receiving intravenous medications and therapies.
• Provide appropriate pain management and comfort measures while maintaining patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, laboratory staff, radiology teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, medications, procedures, and clinical outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
• Provide patients and their families with appropriate information, reassurance, and education regarding treatment, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, case reviews, and continuing professional development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department / Emergency Room nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid nursing license from the home country.
• Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of emergency nursing procedures, triage, resuscitation, trauma care, and acute patient management.
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and high-acuity environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Trauma or emergency care certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Experience in a tertiary care or internationally accredited hospital is an advantage.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
