Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman with at least 8 years of drafting experience, including 5 years in the UAE. The role involves preparing detailed shop drawings, developing coordination drawings, and ensuring compliance with local standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and knowledge of Revit Structure or BIM tools is a plus. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for structural elements including foundations columns beams slabs and other concrete and steel components.
• Develop coordination drawings in line with architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free construction.
• Interpret structural design drawings and specifications to produce clear and compliant drafting deliverables.
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions RFIs and engineering mark-ups.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers site teams and other drafting disciplines to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to local authority standards company protocols and project specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date drawing logs and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Provide support to site teams during construction with required drawing revisions or clarifications.

Key Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 8 years drafting experience with at least 5 years in the UAE/ GCC contracting companies
• Strong command of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Structure or BIM tools is a plus.
• Extensive experience in preparing coordination drawings and multi-disciplinary integration.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC construction standards and authority requirements.
• High level of accuracy attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Must be available to join within 2 weeks.
