Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a senior structural detailing professional to lead end-to-end Tekla detailing packages for GCC-based projects in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. You will model, draw, and coordinate with engineers to ensure buildable solutions and accurate shop drawings.

Applicants must have 5+ years in structural detailing, expert Tekla skills, and fluent English. The role requires independent decision-making and proactive risk management on multiple concurrent packages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural steel detailing experience, including at least 2 years owning full packages independently.
• Expert-level Tekla Structures (modeling and drawing production).
• Experience detailing for GCC-based fabricators or projects with familiarity with Gulf client approval workflows.
• Fluent written and spoken English, able to correspond directly with clients and engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a portfolio of past decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own structural steel detailing packages end-to-end in Tekla Structures: model authoring, connection design checks, shop and erection drawing production, and material take-offs
• Resolve RFIs and clashes directly with clients and engineers, escalating only genuine decisions rather than routine ones
• Manage your own workload and deadlines across multiple concurrent packages with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Coordinate with fabrication and site teams to ensure drawings match buildability and erection sequence
• Flag risks or scope issues early, with a proposed solution rather than just a problem

Desired Candidate Profile

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of structural steel detailing experience, including at least 2 years owning full packages independently (not just modeling under a lead detailer)
• Expert-level Tekla Structures (modeling and drawing production)
• Prior experience detailing for GCC-based fabricators or projects — familiarity with AISC and BS/Eurocode connection standards and Gulf client approval workflows
• Fluent written and spoken English — comfortable corresponding directly with clients and engineers
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously: a portfolio you can walk us through, showing decisions you made independently on past projects
• Strong grasp of structural connection design principles, not just software operation
• BIM Coordination capability

Nice to have

• Advance Steel or SDS/2 experience in addition to Tekla
• Formal qualification in civil/structural engineering, drafting, or a related technical field
• Experience detailing for UK or Irish clients/codes specifically
• Experience mentoring or checking the work of junior detailers
