Job summary

Amazon Web Services EMEA Dubai FZ Branch is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to help digitally native customers design scalable cloud architectures and migrate workloads to AWS. Based in UAE, Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

You will partner with sales, own the technical relationship, and guide customers on security, cost, performance and operational efficiency.

The role requires deep technical depth and strong business sense to translate technology into measurable value and drive AWS adoption.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or systems engineering.
• 5+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years in IT development or implementation/consulting in software/Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform in collaboration with the sales team; formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives.
• Own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS; recommend on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS; participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure cloud deployments are successful.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. As a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to assist and shape the future of a high potential set of digitally native customers. You will partner with various AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a set of digital native customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build a mindshare and broad use of AWS.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

This role is based in UAE, Dubai / Abu Dhabi

Key job responsibilities

As a key member of the sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform in partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS, Solutions Architects own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency.

Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud

Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS

Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.

You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures
• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
