Job description

Responsibilities

• The Senior Planning Engineer, in association with the resident engineer, shall develop the Project execution plan considering proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for the Project.
• He will set targets for activities based on each project activity and ensure they meet DM’s specifications and requirements.
• Planning engineers shall estimate timescales and costs using specialized design software packages such as Primavera.
• One of the major roles is to monitor day‑to‑day work progress for the Project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports, swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
• Tracking and analyzing field results is another key responsibility.
• Planning engineers continually compare planned and actual progress and report any differences to the lead project manager.
• He also studies the impact of alternative approaches.

Qualifications

The Planning Engineer must have a relevant degree from a recognized university and a civil engineering background with knowledge and work experience of not less than fifteen years in design and construction programming/planning of similar projects.
