Job summary

Penspen is urgently looking for a Senior Engineer - QA/QC (Mech/E&I) for an offshore PMC project in the UAE. The role requires extensive QA/QC leadership, welding, NDE, and verification of complex mechanical and electrical installations.

Key responsibilities include reviewing ITPs, conducting site inspections, managing NCRs, coordinating with engineering/procurement/construction, and witnessing testing and pre-commissioning activities. ADNOC exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15–18+ years in mechanical QA/QC experience in offshore Oil & Gas.
• Minimum 5–10+ years in Offshore projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Welding Engineering, NDE Method, Mechanical equipment standards, offshore construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works comply with project specifications, codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO).
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct site inspections for piping, equipment installation, welding, and mechanical completion.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Manage NCRs and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams on quality matters.
• Witness and verify testing activities (hydrotest, pneumatic test, etc.).
• Perform and witness inspections, testing, FAT/SAT, calibration, loop checks, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance, including vendor inspections and subcontractor compliance.
• Manage quality documentation, inspection records, and final handover dossiers.
