We are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista to join our new coffee shop. The Barista will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, handling customer orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our coffee bar. The candidate is energetic, customer-focused, and committed to upholding our high standards for beverage quality and service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages, according to company recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, with precision and attention to detail.
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly service by answering customer questions about menu items, coffee blends, and brewing methods.
- Make menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, service counter, and seating areas.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor and restock inventory, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service during peak hours.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setup and cleaning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista (4-5 years)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and enthusiasm to learn more.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality, consistent beverage preparation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
