Job summary

Ghobash Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Therapist to assess and plan treatment for fluency, voice, swallowing, and related disorders, and to monitor patient progress.

You will administer evaluations, develop exercise programs, teach techniques for tongue, jaw, and breathing control, and collaborate with physicians and other professionals. Immediate availability is a plus. DOH license required.

Qualifications

• BSc in Speech-Language pathology or Speech and Language therapy with DOH license.
• Experience as Speech-Language Therapist, minimum 2 years.
• Experience working with children and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Administer hearing/speech evaluations and collect impairment data.
• Develop treatment plans for stuttering, language delays, swallowing disorders, and voice issues.
• Teach exercises to strengthen tongue, jaw, face muscles and breathing control.
• Refer clients to additional medical or educational services when needed.

Job description

Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment accordingly. Evaluate hearing and speech/language test result and medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech language fluency voice and swallowing disorder Administer hearing or speech/language evaluations tests or examinations to patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments using written and oral tests and special instruments. Record information on the initial evaluation treatment progress and discharge of clients. Develop and implement treatment plans for problems such as stuttering delayed language swallowing disorder and inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems based on own assessments and recommendations of physicians psychologist and social workers. Teach clients to control or strengthen tongue jaw face muscles and breathing mechanisms. Develop speech exercise programs to reduce disabilities. Design develop and employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices and strategies. Refer clients to additional medical or educational services if needed

Qualifications :

• BSc in Speech-Language pathology/ Speech and language therapy with DOH license
• At least 2 years of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Experience working with children
• Strong Communication
