Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. is seeking an experienced radiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services, including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. You will interpret a wide range of general radiological examinations and contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

You will participate in rounds, conferences, and on-call coverage, while mentoring technologists and supporting continuous professional development in a hospital setting in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years post-qualification experience at Specialist level.
• Minimum 1 year of Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by UAE regulator.
• Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification recognised by UAE authorities.
• Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by UAE healthcare authority.
• Active and valid life support certifications (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Eligibility for UAE healthcare authority registration (e.g. Royal College/Arab Board).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a diagnostic radiological consultant to physicians and interpret general radiological exams.
• Perform fluoroscopy, angiography, ultrasound, CT and MRI within training and privileges.
• Participate in physician conferences and rounds; supervise technologists as needed.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement Program to meet international standards.
• Provide on-call emergency coverage and assist with risk assessments and OSH compliance.
• Instruct technologists in specialized views/positions and orient new staff.

Education

Basic medical degree and specialty qualification

Certification and registration in a recognised specialty

Membership/board certification recognised by UAE healthcare authority

Active life support certification (BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS/NRP)

Job description

Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner

Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care

Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards

Maintain accurate medical records

Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others

Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner

Serves as a diagnostic radiological consultant to physicians

Interprets all types of general radiological examinations

Interprets and performs those requiring fluoroscopy special procedures angiography ultrasound radioisotopes CT and MRI scanning within the limits of his her training experience and clinical privileges and with the approval of the Chief of Radiology

Participates in physician conferences and rounds

Responsible to work with the technologists and when appropriate to instruct the technologists in specialized views and positioning of patients when unusual or difficult problems arise

Participates in the Quality Improvement Program of the hospital to meet international standards

Provides on-call emergency coverage

Participates in the orientation of new technologists and new radiologist

Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Chief Radiologist

• At least 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country)
• At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator
• Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
• Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority
• Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
• Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or an equivalent recognised by relevant healthcare authority in UAE
