Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking a seasoned Petrophysicist to conduct advanced petrophysical analysis, integrate data with seismic concepts, and perform multi-physics logging to support reservoir understanding and development. The role requires 5+ years in petrophysical analysis, strong analytical skills, and proven collaboration with geologists and engineers.

You will prepare detailed reports, train junior staff, and stay abreast of evolving petrophysical methods in a leading energy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of petrophysical analysis and logging techniques.
  • Proficiency with petrophysical software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in petrophysical analysis and reservoir characterization.
  • Experience in exploration and development within oil and gas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced petrophysical analysis to evaluate reservoir characteristics and resource extraction potential.
  • Integrate core data with seismic reservoir characterization to enhance subsurface understanding.
  • Perform acoustic, nuclear, resistivity, and NMR logging to gather critical subsurface data.
  • Develop and execute formation testing and sampling programs for data accuracy.
  • Analyze petrophysical uncertainty and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers to optimize operations.
  • Ensure quality and reliability of log acquisition and processing.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on petrophysical findings and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in petrophysical technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.

Abou Role:
