Job summary

UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is seeking to oversee certification/approval and audit activities in line with the Technical Authority Manual. The role supports the annual oversight program, ensuring safety standards are continuously improved and data in Q-Pulse is up to date.

The incumbent will coordinate investigations like ROSI to determine causes and prevent recurrence, working with other disciplines as needed to maintain regulatory compliance and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in certification/approval and audits.
• Familiarity with Safety Affairs standards.
• Ability to coordinate investigations and root cause analysis.

Certification/Approval, Audit and Continued Oversight

• Ensure that all certification/approval and audit is managed effectively in line with stipulated guidelines and issue relevant certificates/approvals and/or recommend certification/approval, as per the Technical Authority Manual.
• Provide inputs in development of the annual oversight (audit and surveillance) program to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Continued improvement towards safety should be considered as much as possible.
• Ensure timely and up to date data in Q-Pulse (auditing system) to ensure compliance with GCAA’s roles and functions.
• Ensure that investigations (e.g., ROSI) are carried out to determine the cause of incidents and prevent future occurrences and direct coordination with other disciplines (if necessary)

Surveillance Programs & Audit

• Implement corrective actions raised against the Department during internal surveillance program to ascertain alignment of Safety Affairs standards in line with international standards and continuous improvement.
• Support the administration of all auditing activities by external entities of Safety Affairs including ICAO, and IMS to ensure smooth and productive audit.
