Job summary

ADVANCED CONCEPTS under EDGE specializes in high-technology autonomous systems and secure networks. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and managing network devices, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure, and leading security projects. Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53 and CNSSI 1253, plus IPSEC/PKI, is essential.

Minimum 5 years in network security admin with 3 years in management, plus CCNA/CCNP preferred. Bachelor’s in CS/IT required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in network security administration or a related field.
• 3 years in a network management role for a mid-sized organization.
• Bachelor’s in computer Science, Information Technology or other related fields.
• Certification in a relevant subject is preferable, e.g., CCNA, CCNP.
• Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and CNSSI 1253.
• Strong understanding of data classification.
• Understanding of IPSEC, SSL, PKI and other encryption-based technologies.
• Can clearly demonstrate least privilege access

ADVANCED CONCEPTS is fast-tracking the development of high-technology autonomous systems, including three Medium Endurance, High Altitude, fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems, a family of precision loitering munitions, a cost- effective family of cruise missiles, and a range of guided artillery munitions.

Core Accountabilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Ensure the network infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure to meet current and future demands.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Monitor network performance and availability using network management tools.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates to network hardware and software.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents, minimizing impact on business operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory of network assets and software licenses.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference
• Lead network-related projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Work closely with IT support staff and other departments to resolve issues and support organizational needs.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies and best practices within the organization.
• Liaise with vendors for network devices purchases, upgrades, and support services.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, recommending enhancements to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience
