Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking a Specialist Hematologist to diagnose and manage a broad range of hematologic conditions within a leading healthcare facility. The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, education, and ongoing patient care.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive hematology services, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to quality improvement and clinical education in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Hematology or a relevant specialty.
• Valid DHA eligibility or license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience at Specialist level.
• Strong knowledge of hematology diagnosis and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage benign and malignant hematological disorders.
• Evaluate and treat anemia, coagulation disorders, thrombosis, and hematological malignancies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient response.
• Manage patients requiring chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion support, and other treatments where qualified.
• Interpret laboratory investigations, blood films, and bone marrow studies.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists and other specialists.
• Provide follow-up care, patient education, and counselling.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Contribute to clinical education, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
