Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Residency in General Surgery completed.
• DOH License or Eligibility as Specialist General Surgery.
• Minimum 5 years of post-residency experience as a General Surgeon.
• Experience managing elective and emergency general surgical cases.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with general surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and create treatment plans.
• Provide perioperative and post-operative care.
• Manage surgical emergencies and participate in on-call roster.

The Specialist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a broad spectrum of general surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures within the scope of granted clinical privileges.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide perioperative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage surgical emergencies and participate in the on-call roster as required.
• Interpret and review diagnostic investigations relevant to surgical management.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to provide integrated

Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of a recognized residency training program in General Surgery.
• Specialty qualification in General Surgery recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialty qualification experience as a General Surgeon.
• DOH License or DOH Eligibility as Specialist General Surgery.
• Experience managing elective and emergency general surgical cases.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
