Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking an experienced Specialist Gastroenterologist to join our leading healthcare facility. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing GI and hepatobiliary disorders with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include endoscopic procedures, biopsies, managing GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and coordinating care with surgeons and other specialists while delivering high-quality clinical care and education.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine with Gastroenterology specialization.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in Gastroenterology.
• Experience in gastroscopy and colonoscopy is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide consultation, diagnosis, and management of GI and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Perform or assist with gastroscopy and colonoscopy within scope of expertise.
• Coordinate biopsies, polypectomy, and endoscopic interventions as required.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and investigations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, nutritionists, and other specialists.
• Educate patients on lifestyle, nutrition, and preventive healthcare.

We are looking for an experienced Specialist Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, with a patient-centered approach to clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders
• Evaluate and manage conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas
• Diagnose and manage GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, and other gastrointestinal disorders
• Manage Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, and other inflammatory or malabsorptive conditions
• Diagnose and manage liver diseases, including fatty liver disease, hepatitis, cirrhosis, and related complications
• Evaluate and manage pancreatic and biliary disorders
• Perform or assist with appropriate gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures within the scope of clinical expertise
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy where appropriately trained
• Perform or coordinate biopsies, polypectomy, and other endoscopic interventions as required
• Assess patients with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, altered bowel habits, nausea, vomiting, and unexplained weight loss
• Provide appropriate screening and surveillance for colorectal and gastrointestinal cancers
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and endoscopic findings
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nutritionists, and other specialists
• Provide patient education regarding lifestyle, nutrition, medication adherence, and preventive healthcare
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with clinical governance and patient-safety standards
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activities

Requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine with Gastroenterology specialization
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in Gastroenterology
• Strong clinical experience in general gastroenterology and hepatobiliary disorders
• Experience in gastroscopy and colonoscopy is highly desirable
• Experience with therapeutic endoscopy is an added advantageEligible for DHA Specialist classification/license in Dubai
• Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills
