Job summary

EDGE seeks an experienced Specialist Draughtsman - Harness to design, develop and release complex electrical harness systems for high-reliability platforms in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong expertise in electrical harness design, 3D CAD modelling, and PLM-based configuration management.

You will create 3D harness assemblies in Creo Harness/Cabling, generate wiring lists, BOMs, and installation drawings, and manage changes in Windchill PDM/PLM while ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo Harness/Cabling and Windchill PDM/PLM.
• 8–15 years of electrical harness design and CAD modelling experience in defence/aerospace/high-reliability sectors.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex 3D electrical harness assemblies using Creo Harness/Cabling.
• Produce and manage harness drawings, wire lists, BOMs, installation drawings, and data packages.
• Control engineering changes and configurations with Windchill PDM/PLM.
• Support integration, verification and continuous improvement of electrical harness systems within electro-mechanical platforms.

Specialist Draughtsman – Harness

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Draughtsman - Harness to support the design, development, and release of complex electrical harness systems.This role requires strong expertise in electrical harness design, 3D CAD modelling, product lifecycle management, and engineering drawing standards, with experience working in defence, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex 3D electrical harness assemblies using Creo Harness/Cabling, ensuring compliance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Produce and manage manufacturing documentation, including harness drawings, wire lists, bills of materials (BOMs), installation drawings, and technical data packages.
• Control engineering changes, revisions, and configurations through Windchill PDM/PLM while ensuring compliance with BS8888, ISO standards, and company processes.
• Support the integration, verification, and continuous improvement of electrical harness systems within complex electro-mechanical platforms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo Harness/Cabling and strong experience with Windchill PDM/PLM and configuration management.
• Minimum 8-15 years of electrical harness design and CAD modelling experience, preferably within defence, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.
