Role Summary
The Specialist Dermatologist - Aesthetics will provide comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatology services for patients with a wide range of skin, hair, and nail concerns. The position combines clinical diagnosis and treatment with aesthetic procedures, preventive skincare guidance, patient education, and post‑treatment monitoring. The specialist will maintain high standards of safety, confidentiality, clinical documentation, and patient satisfaction.
What You 'll Do
- Conduct detailed dermatological consultations, skin examinations, and clinical assessments.
- Diagnose and manage common and complex conditions affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, examination findings, diagnostic results, and clinical objectives.
- Treat conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, hair loss, infections, and allergic skin reactions.
- Perform medical dermatology procedures including skin biopsies, lesion assessment, minor surgical treatments, and follow‑up care.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox injections, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation treatments.
- Conduct aesthetic consultations and recommend appropriate procedures based on skin type, patient expectations, suitability, and potential risks.
- Operate laser and energy‑based devices in accordance with approved clinical protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Explain treatment options, expected outcomes, possible side effects, recovery requirements, and after‑care instructions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when clinically necessary.
- Provide professional guidance on skincare routines, sun protection, preventive care, and long‑term skin health.
- Obtain informed consent before procedures and maintain accurate treatment documentation.
- Follow infection control, medication safety, patient identification, and clinical risk management procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, aestheticians, laser technicians, pharmacists, and administrative teams.
- Respond professionally to patient concerns and support a positive, confidential, and respectful care experience.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, procedure notes, prescriptions, photographs, and follow‑up schedules.
- Stay informed about developments in dermatology, injectables, laser technology, aesthetic medicine, and patient safety.
- Participate in clinical audits, training programs, quality improvement activities, and continuing medical education.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree from a recognized university.
- Completed specialization, board certification, or fellowship in Dermatology.
- Valid UAE specialist license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate professional license.
- Proven clinical experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
- Strong diagnostic knowledge of skin, hair, and nail disorders.
- Practical experience performing laser procedures, chemical peels, injectables, skin biopsies, and aesthetic treatments.
- Proficiency in Botox administration, dermal fillers, and individualized facial treatment planning.
- Knowledge of different skin types, treatment contraindications, complication prevention, and post‑procedure care.
- Ability to assess patient expectations and recommend medically appropriate aesthetic solutions.
- Strong interpersonal, consultation, and patient communication skills.
