Job summary

Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Specialist Dermatologist to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders. The role includes medical and minor dermatological procedures in line with international best practices, with responsibilities ranging from patient evaluations to clinical audits.

Candidates should hold MBBS or equivalent and a postgraduate dermatology qualification, and be eligible for UAE specialist registration or hold a UAE specialist

We are seeking a qualified and patient-focused Specialist Dermatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders while delivering high-quality, evidence-based dermatological care. The role includes both medical and minor dermatological procedures in accordance with international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic dermatological conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using medical, procedural, and preventive approaches.
• Perform minor dermatological procedures such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, electrocautery, excisions, and lesion removal.
• Diagnose and manage common dermatological conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, fungal infections, vitiligo, urticaria, and skin cancers.
• Educate patients on skin health, preventive care, and treatment compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical practices

• Postgraduate qualification in Dermatology (MD, DNB, Arab Board, MRCP, FCPS, or equivalent).
• Eligibility for Specialist registration with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH/DHA/MOH) or a valid UAE Specialist license
