Specialist – Corporate Performance in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is an Oil and Energy opportunity for a performance management professional who can support corporate scorecards, KPI frameworks, business plan tracking, performance reporting, and strategic decision‑making across a major energy group. The role focuses on strengthening a result‑oriented performance culture by managing KPI data, validating scorecard submissions, analyzing business performance trends, and providing leadership with clear insights that support corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and implementation of ADNOC Group performance policies and ensure compliance across directorates and Group Companies.
- Assist in developing standardized functional KPIs in coordination with HSE, Human Capital, Finance, Business and Commercial Support, Operational Excellence, Audit, Legal, Governance, and Compliance teams.
- Prepare annual corporate performance guidelines covering KPI objectives, definitions, measurement methods, scoring mechanisms, and reporting expectations.
- Communicate performance guidelines across directorates and Group Companies to support consistent KPI interpretation and application.
- Support the development of performance scorecards for directorates and Group Companies in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Administer the monthly KPI information gathering process across Group Companies and directorates.
- Consolidate monthly KPI submissions and track progress against business plan targets and approved scorecard measures.
- Validate KPI information to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and alignment with agreed targets and performance guidelines.
- Generate monthly performance scorecard reports for ADNOC Group, directorates, and companies using the corporate performance management system.
- Analyze group, directorate, and company performance on a monthly basis to identify trends, variances, performance gaps, and areas requiring management attention.
- Identify performance levers and recommend corrective actions to improve results against scorecard targets.
- Prepare monthly performance insights and analytical reports to support effective decision‑making by executive management.
- Maintain the group‑wide corporate performance management IT system and ensure approved scorecards are set up on time.
- Review monthly scorecard submissions to maintain system data quality and improve reporting reliability.
- Identify system capability enhancements based on performance process requirements and user feedback.
- Provide business requirements for system updates, advanced analytical features, reporting improvements, and process automation.
- Conduct user acceptance testing for performance management system updates to support smooth rollout and adoption.
- Support line management in key initiatives, special assignments, and projects related to group performance.
- Coordinate assigned activities to meet functional objectives and ensure timely completion of performance management deliverables.
- Provide input for function, division, department, or section budget preparation and support approved work plan implementation.
- Support implementation of approved policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in line with company and international standards.
- Contribute to performance objectives for the assigned function or department under the company performance framework.
- Identify tools, methods, and process improvements that enhance reporting quality, operational efficiency, and management visibility.
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, sustainability guidelines, controls, applicable legislation, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate performance management, planning, strategy, or related business performance roles.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of corporate performance management frameworks used in large energy or industrial organizations.
- Understanding of KPI development, scorecard design, performance guidelines, target tracking, and monthly performance reporting.
- Ability to work with qualitative and quantitative data and convert performance information into practical business insights.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, problem‑solving, and decision‑support skills.
- Experience working with performance management systems, scorecard platforms, reporting tools, and structured KPI submissions.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, presentation, technical writing, and business writing skills.
- Ability to coordinate with directorates, KPI owners, performance teams, and Group Companies in a structured and professional manner.
- Detail‑oriented approach with strong data validation, reporting accuracy, follow‑up, and documentation skills.
- Able to manage deadlines, monthly reporting cycles, performance reviews, and improvement actions in a corporate environment.
- Comfortable working in a normal office environment with regular computer‑based analysis, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
