Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Postgraduate neurosurgery qualification.
• Western qualifications preferred with recognized boards (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, American/Canadian/Australian/South African Boards).
• Relevant post-specialization experience.
• Demonstrated neurosurgical expertise in complex procedures.
• Strong surgical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions requiring surgery.
• Perform neurosurgical procedures for brain and spine disorders.
• Manage neurosurgical emergencies, including traumatic brain injuries and spinal trauma.
• Evaluate patients with brain/spinal tumors and hydrocephalus requiring surgery.
• Interpret CT/MRI and other neurological imaging.
• Provide preoperative assessment, postoperative care, and long-term follow-up.
• Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and rehab specialists.
• Monitor outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
• Maintain medical records and comply with infection-control and safety standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits, research, teaching, and CME.

The successful candidate will diagnose and manage complex neurological conditions requiring surgical intervention, including brain and spinal disorders, traumatic injuries, and other neurosurgical conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex brain, spinal, and peripheral nerve conditions requiring surgical treatment.
• Perform neurosurgical procedures involving brain and spinal disorders, according to the candidate’s expertise and approved scope of practice.
• Manage neurosurgical emergencies, including traumatic brain injuries, intracranial hemorrhage, and spinal trauma.
• Evaluate patients with brain tumors, spinal tumors, hydrocephalus, and other neurological conditions requiring surgery.
• Interpret diagnostic investigations, including CT scans, MRI studies, and other relevant neurological imaging.
• Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment, postoperative care, and long-term follow-up.
• Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and rehabilitation specialists.
• Monitor patient outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical guidelines, infection-control procedures, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education.

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
