Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks a Lead Test Platform Engineer to own the end-to-end Test Platform environment for spacecraft integration, verification, validation, and manufacturing. Qualifications

• Proven ability to own complex Test Stations, SIL/HIL platforms, or similar test systems.
• Experience delivering test platforms from requirements through deployment and support.
• Hands-on hardware/software/system integration experience.
• Strong Linux, networking, compute infra, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in Python and scripting.
• Experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, containers, and automation.
• Experience integrating hardware, software, and instrumentation in test environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures spanning hardware, software, networking, and interfaces.
• Experience leading architecture/design reviews and root-cause investigations.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong systems-level thinking while staying hands-on.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and engineering judgement.
• Ability to establish technical ownership and scalable standards.
• Experience in spacecraft/aerospace hardware development.
• Experience supporting AIT, spacecraft integration, verification, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on exposure to Electrical EGSE/SCOE and RF EGSE/SCOE.
• Experience designing or operating spacecraft interfaces (electrical, RF, power, etc.).
• Experience with instrumentation and data-acquisition systems.
• Experience with embedded hardware within test environments.
• Experience developing automated test execution, monitoring, diagnostics, and validation.
• Experience standardizing Test Platforms across programs.
• Experience improving platform reliability and lifecycle management.
• Experience developing reusable platform architectures balancing long-term scalability.
• Mentoring engineers and building technical capability.
