Job summary

The NSSTC at United Arab Emirates University seeks a software engineer to support Space mission projects and R&D activities, specializing in real time embedded systems, C/C++ coding, and high level modeling languages such as HML and MATLAB.

You will design and test flight software, develop wrappers and test benches, debug on target hardware, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including students; travel may be required; position based in Al Ain.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Information technology, Physics, Mathematics.
• Understanding of embedded real-time systems hardware and software; C&C++ preferable; High Level Modeling Languages (HML, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with a multi-disciplinary team including professionals, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students.
• Documenting interfaces and requirements.
• Designing discipline-specific software components for space flight applications.
• Modeling and analyzing designs of flight software and its integration with its hosting hardware.
